Advanced Physical Therapy & Wellness was founded by Kathleen Galica Devine in 1987 with the purpose of establishing a personalized approach toward rehab and physical therapy in Sarasota County. By combining an extensive academic background in sports and orthopedic therapy, Advanced Physical Therapy & Wellness has become a highly respected establishment in the healthcare community.
Our main goal is to work with your physician to ensure a quick recovery of your injury. At our facility we utilize many approaches to meet each patient's specific needs. These may include a variety of traditional healing modalities such as ultrasound, muscle stimulation and traction. We emphasize hands-on procedures such as neuromuscular massage, muscle energy techniques, soft tissue and joint mobilization. Exercise protocols are established for improving range of motion, flexibility, strength and endurance.
Functional exercises incorporate sports- specific and activity-specific skills to retrain the body. Complete rehabilitation requires returning the body to its prior level of balance, coordination, endurance and skill.
Physical therapists perform special hands-on techniques for individuals with limited range of motion. Passive stretching, soft tissue and joint mobilization may be vital to returning normal motion.

Our goal is to provide our patients with comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment and personal attention to allow each patient to achieve their functional goals in a timely manner so they can return to their daily activities without delay.
