KITTY DEVINE, DPT, MPH, graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy and started her physical therapy career in Sarasota, Florida in 1983. She earned her Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of South Florida in 1987 and completed her Doctorate in 2007. Kitty has served as a rehab consultant with the Pittsburgh Pirates since 1988 and with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays since 2001. She has treated numerous professional athletes including Monica Seles, Mary Pierce, Paul Azinger, Jim Albus, Orvil Moody, Scott Erikson, Mark Lempke, Mark Guthrie and many others. Kitty is trained by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health and Fitness Instructor and is a certified Pilates Mat instructor. A competitive gymnast in college, she now enjoys tennis, golf and running. She is a member of the Manasota Track Club, and a Co-Founder of the Sarasota Adult Kickball League. Her professional affiliations include being a member of the Orthopedic, Sports, and Private Practice sections of the APTA, FPTA, ACSM, and APHA.
SHANNON DAVIE, PT, graduated from Sarasota High School and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from New York University in 1996. Her professional experience includes practice in Geriatrics, Neurological and Sports Injuries and Orthopedic Rehabilitation. Shannon is a quality assurance board member for Florida 's Physical Therapy Provider Network.
LISA HOTALING, PT, grew up in the Orlando area and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Neurobiological Sciences and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy in 1999. Her professional experiences include practice in Geriatrics and Neurological and Orthopedic rehabilitation. Lisa is certified both as a Pilates instructor and a Thera-Ball instructor. She is trained in cranio-sacral therapy as well as the GOLO method to improve the golf swing and decrease risk of injury. Lisa is a member of the APTA and FPTA.
NICK HUGHES, DPT, graduated with a doctorate degree in PT from University of Buffalo, after completing his undergraduate work at Fordham University in the Bronx. Nick spent the first two years after graduation as a traveling physical therapist working in the outpatient orthopedic setting in Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Ft. Myers, FL, and Chicago, IL before finally settling here in Sarasota. His specialties are in manual therapy with a sports rehabilitation background and neurological rehabilitation. Nick is also certified as a Personal Trainer through NCSF. He is a huge Bills fan who enjoys all sports and being outdoors.
COLLEEN GIELOW, PTA, was born in Connecticut and moved to Florida in 1986. She graduated in 1997 from Broward Community College with an Associate of Science Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Her professional experiences include Acute Care, Geriatrics, Sports Injury and Orthopedic Rehabilitation. As a member of the APTA and FPTA, she continually expands her training and knowledge in Orthopedics and Sports Rehabilitation. A member of volleyball and softball teams in high school and college, she now enjoys fishing, boating, ATV riding and raising her two sons.
LISA LOCKE, BS, PTA, earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Central Florida in 1996 and her Physical Therapist Assistant Degree from Darton College in 1998. Lisa spent five years at Baptist Hospital in Miami in their Orthopedic Sports Medicine department before moving to Bradenton in 2004. Lisa is a well-rounded therapist with experience in the acute hospital setting, Geriatrics and Sports Medicine, as well as general Orthopedics. When not treating patients, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and exercising.
LIJAH KENDALL, BS, PTA, earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education from Southern Oregon University in 1999. She spent the next eight years working as a Physical Therapy Technician. When she moved to Florida in 2003, she added Personal Training and Pilates instruction to her repertoire. In 2007, Lijah earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Manatee Community College. She has experience in Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, Geriatrics and Acute Care. Lijah enjoys outdoor activities in her spare time and is an active member of the APTA.
CONNY ALBRITTON, PTA, was born and raised in Germany where she earned her degree in Physical Therapy. She moved to the United States in 2000. In 2005, she enrolled in the Physical Therapy Assisting Program at MCC in pursuit of her Associate of Science degree and graduated with honors in May 2007. Her professional experience includes Acute Care, Geriatrics, Pediatrics and Neurological and Orthopedic Rehabilitation. She spends the bulk of her time with her husband and daughter but also enjoys music, theater and photography.
